When Design, a Love of Polynesia, and Samoan Heritage Come Together

Talofa, Aloha, and Hello!

My name is Moana, and I am the proud owner of MoanaSina Creations, a veteran-owned small business specializing in custom stationery design that I am very passionate about. I have always loved writing and sending cards, and I am thankful that there is an avenue for me to put my love and creativity to use to express my gratitude for my Samoan heritage. I owe this to my mom, Sina, and my grandma, Foloolela, who helped shape my upbringing to be proud of my mixed Samoan race, to honor my heritage by being kind, to believe that God will always be my protector, and never to forget my family. Growing up on Oahu, Hawaii, and in Carson, California, and living in American Samoa as a young one, I experienced various cultures and landscapes that have shaped how I create my designs.

This journey would not have been possible without my family. I lost my mom in 2009 to Endometrial Cancer, and unfortunately, 3 years later, my grandma passed from the same cancer. But I have never forgotten the lessons they taught my siblings and me, and their resilience in adapting to life, even when times were difficult.

This business will represent them in any way I can. I also know that without my husband, kids, my siblings, my aunties, uncles, and many cousins (Samoans are made up of prominent families), I would not be as resilient and passionate as I am today.

MoanaSina Creations is now open, and I can provide personalized stationery products and sell my creations on Shopify and Etsy. Please take this journey into my love of art and design, and into my heritage in stationery design and gift products.
